President & Chief Executive Officer

Chris serves as the global leader at Humanetics and is widely acknowledged as an expert in vehicle and occupant safety within our industry. He is a retired Colonel in the US Army Reserves and actively contributes as a board member for multiple rapidly growing engineering businesses. When not engaged in leadership responsibilities, Chris can be found applying his expertise to activities such as calculating velocity and wind speeds on the golf course or fine-tuning the torque on one of his engines.

Chief Financial Officer

Amit is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Humanetics Group responsible for our investments and financial performance. Amit has extensive experience leading financial teams and operational processes at Ford and FLIR Systems, as well as managing a diverse portfolio of companies at the Piston Group. He is committed to mentoring young people aspiring to become engineers and business leaders. He also enjoys a round of golf when he can find time.

Vice President, Human Resources

Janis leads the Human Resource function for the Humanetics Group and represents the needs of our 1000+ employees, in 27 locations,  across 13 markets. Her experience working with both mature and startup companies helps to shape her guidance for all aspects of the human resource function. The best part of her day is spending time with family and finding ways to give back to the community.

President, Humanetics Safety

Mark leads our Safety group globally. He has deep experience working across Europe, India, and China leading product and engineering management in the industrial, automotive, consumer, and energy industries. When he's not with his wife and two kids, he likes to explore the countryside while pursuing his passion for motorbiking.

President, Humanetics Digital

Karsten Newbury is the President of Humanetics Digital, where he spearheads the development of our software and digital solutions portfolio. Collaborating across the organization, he drives innovation by integrating advanced data, software development, and Industry 4.0 systems based on Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIOT). With a rich background in industrial B2B technology, acquired through influential roles at Siemens and Gerber Technology, Karsten has a proven track record of building and leading software and process automation businesses. His expertise has been instrumental in catering to the unique needs of the industrial, automotive, and fashion sectors. Karsten is a passionate skier and lives with his wife, two kids, and their golden retriever. 

President, Humanetics Sensors & Chief Marketing Officer

Barney leads the Humanetics Sensor group and marketing growth programs, strategic communications, and customer experience design. He has led marketing and digital transformations in Europe, Asia and the USA in B2B, B2C and agency sectors, for clients like IBM, VW, Huawei, Qualcomm and Mercer Consulting. Barney is a British and American citizen, a bad runner and avid cook.

Vice President, Corporate Development

Bryan leads the corporate development for Humanetics identifying potential partnerships and acquisitions and managing their integration into the Humanetics Group. Coming from the investment banking world, he is a rare numbers person with strategic vision and a creative side. He likes nothing more than to spend his time in northern Michigan with his family and logging the miles on his bike.

Vice President, Emerging Technologies

Sanket leads Business Development and Product Strategy for active safety (ADAS and Autonomous Vehicle) business. With his strong technology background, and a passion for developing customer and partner relations, he has built multi-million dollar businesses for companies such as Avaya, IBM, Infostretch and Larsen & Toubro. Sanket is a trained actor and singer who enjoys hosting his friends for movie and karaoke nights.

President, Humanetics Safety

Mark leads our Safety group globally. Sales & Marketing Director, Americas

Brad leads our North and South American, Indian, Korean, and Australian Sales activity. He has extensive experience in the automotive sector through his work at AVL with GM and FCA. He also has a deep knowledge of champagne – notably, he is a “Chevalier” in the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne – and firmly holds the conviction that “champagne makes everything better”.

Vice President, Engineering

As Vice President of Engineering for Humanetics, Ken is a well-known and respected engineering leader in automotive safety development. He has dedicated over 25 years to the development of vehicle crashworthiness and the protection of vehicle occupants and vulnerable road users. Ken, along with his wife and two daughters, loves traveling, visiting National Parks and working on projects at his cottage. 

Director, Business Development (Passive Safety)

In 1998, Klaus began his career in the field of vehicle safety and development. He created the sophisticated E-Liner system for passive safety testing, and went on to found the FronTone company in 2005 to promote this advanced technology.  Klaus supports the global sales team with passive safety business development.

Director, Global Sales 

Markus Schmidl joined the Humanetics team in 2012 with the goal of taking a thorough look at the product offerings and answering the question – how can we make these products even better than they already are? With his background in printing press machine sales at Heidelberger, Markus already knew that in a machine-driven workflow, maximum efficiency is critical to success. 

General Manager, China

Peter is responsible for managing Humanetics business and operations in China. Since he joined in 2006 Peter has helped to build strong connections with the automotive passive and active safety community in China. He likes to play table tennis with his son and enjoys the cheers of his daughter no matter who wins the game.

Managing Director, India

Pradeep is the Managing Director of Humanetics in India and oversees our sales and operations. He has extensive experience in Occupant Safety spanning industry and academic research. He has achieved a Master's Degree in Mechanical engineering, a Ph.D. in transportation safety and has managed multi-million dollar vehicle safety research programs in the US and India. He loves to recharge playing badminton, cooking & spending time with family.

General Manager, Japan

Yuji is Managing Director of Humanetics in Japan overseeing our sales and operations. Yuji is one of the longest-serving members of the Humanetics team and has worked with the company for over 30 years.  He is a passionate cook, so when he is not saving lives, the best part of his day is cooking with his family enjoying sushi, tempura, and Japanese-style steak.

Managing Director, MG-Sensor & Center of Excellence Rheinmünster

Norbert is one of the Managing Directors and founders of mg-sensor. He is responsible for global sales and leads the sensor development and the production. He is an expert in the development of load cells and sensor technology, manufacturing and driving business forward with the focus on customer needs. Norbert has decades of extensive experience in the Automotive sector as well as mechanical engineering. In his spare time, he loves hiking, mountain biking and cooking.

Managing Director, MG-Sensor & Center of Excellence Rheinmünster and Heidelberg

Andreas is one of the Managing Directors and founders of mg-sensor. He is graduated in mechanical engineering and completed 1997 his PhD in Methods Engineering, Environmental Technology and Material Science at the Technical University of Berlin. Andreas' deep knowledge of instrumentation, calibration, DAS, and dummy integrations creates a higher quality of service across our Center Of Excellence network. Andreas is a Pioneer in new product and business developments. His vision is the link between the meaning of life and corporate profit. He loves to travel and enjoys sailing and hiking in his free time.

Managing Director, ATD-LabTech & Center of Excellence Niedernberg

 

Gerhard serves as the Founder and Managing Director of ATD-LabTech, leading the Center of Excellence for Certification Equipment and Lab Management at Humanetics. His extensive expertise is the result of years dedicated to entrepreneurial pursuits. In 2015, he established ATD-LabTech, laying the groundwork for the development of cutting-edge test systems.

Vice President, Global Safety Sales

Roderick leads Business Development for Safety, Digital, and Sensors in Asia. He studied Industrial Automation and has always focused on a continual approach to transformation and innovation of physical and virtual solutions. He has lived and worked in China, Japan, and now Germany and has a passion for sports cars and two-feet, off-road hiking.

Senior Sales Manager, EMEA

Leading European sales activities, Robert brings with him a wealth of knowledge in the safety sector with over a decade of experience in the ATD field. When not focused on supporting customers, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring global destinations, and immersing himself in diverse cultures.

President, Humanetics Digital

Chief Product Officer, Humanetics Digital

Bachar is one of the leading experts in CAE software, a pioneer of software virtual simulations to help advance vehicle safety and design. He has built and led the CAE team at Humanetics CAE for over 10 years. When he's not engineering, you can catch him (if you can) biking, hiking or traveling to discover new places. 

Managing Director, CAE

Robert Kant is the Managing Director of the CAE team responsible for global sales, engineering and our customer partnerships. He has deep expertise in finite element applications in the crash test sector and has run product, customer service and sales teams in Europe. He likes to travel, enjoys long distance walks and starts every day with a cold shower.

General Manager, Research and Development

Michael started his career in a predecessor company of Human Solutions where he was responsible for software development in various areas. He was part of the Human Solutions family right from the beginning with the foundation in 2002. He was responsible for product development and also for various business units, most recently Avalution. In his spare time he likes to cook, travel and ride a bike.

Chief Technology Officer, Software Center of Excellence

Sandy leads our team of cloud computing and big data experts to advance the use of technology and software best practices in the areas of Passive and Active Safety, Simulation (CAE), Ergonomics, and in our Sensors division. Sandy has 30 years of software development and technology leadership experience from organizations like Siemens, Global Stratecom, and Exxon Mobil. Sandy is not only a technology expert, but also a very people-focused leader who knows how to build strong team relationships that connect on deeper interpersonal levels.

Humanetics Digital, Sales Director

Frank leads global sales, marketing, and consulting for our Ergonomic and Body Data Solutions. With more than 15 years of sales experience, Frank brings customer-focused leadership experience from organizations like TÜV Rheinalnd. Frank prides himself on continuous improvement and believes that the power of customer-focused strategic thinking and cross-business collaboration are the keys to success.

Joining Fibercore as Chief Technology Officer in September 2020, Dom became Managing Director of Fibercore a year later, November 2021. With over 20 years of post-PhD industrial leadership of multiple industries, across international locations and with top-tier blue-chip experience, Dom is experienced in driving successful outcomes for customers by delivering on advanced technologies

Global Managing Director, OpTek Systems

Bruce joined OpTek as Global Managing Director in November 2021 and has been responsible for bringing each highly skilled team together across our worldwide facilities to deliver the laser machining process solutions we provide for our customers. Bruce’s in-depth understanding of materials, finishing and manufacturing techniques and how this can be applied to an application to deliver customer satisfaction, has enabled him to deliver solutions across a range of markets such as Aerospace & Defence, Telecommunications, Medical and Automotive.

Vice President & Managing Director, HITEC Sensors

As Vice President & Managing Director of HITEC Sensors, George is responsible for both the United States and Sri Lankan business entities. He has spent the majority of his career within the Group and has developed relationships across many industries to deliver unique customer solutions for our clients. When he's not instrumenting the largest turbines in the world with strain gauge sensors, in the twilight hours George can be found in his shop restoring one of his vintage trucks.
